How the calculator works

days to finish = ceiling( hours × 60 ÷ playback speed ÷ minutes per day )

The finish date is today plus that many days, so it changes as you move the slider or pick a speed. Running times come from The Books Insider's dataset: where the retailer's product page lists the real narration time for an author-verified edition we use it as-is; otherwise the time is estimated from the book's page count (pages × 275 words ÷ 9,300 words per hour) and labeled as an estimate. 1.5× playback returns a third of the running time, 2× returns half; the full method is on the About page.
