How many audiobooks can you finish in a year? 17 at half an hour a day
Using real store durations for 1,642 audiobooks, here is the payoff of a daily habit: at just 30 minutes a day you finish about 17 median-length audiobooks in a year, and it climbs fast from there.
The median audiobook in our store-verified set runs 10.3 real hours. So a 30-minutes-a-day habit, one commute, one dog walk, finishes about 17 of them in a year. An hour a day roughly doubles that to 35, and 90 minutes a day gets you to 52.

Genre length does the work here: a 30-minute commute finishes about 26 horror audiobooks a year, the shortest-median genre, while the longest genres cost you a good fraction of that for the same daily minutes.
Add a little speed
Nudge playback to 1.25× and the same 30 minutes a day behaves like 38 minutes of content, lifting the median-length count from 17 to about 22 books a year for no extra time in your day.
